We are not super heroes
We do not wear capes (yet)
We cannot stop a ravening horde
We are not the immovable object to
life’s unstoppable force
We can’t fix what’s broken with a wave of a hand
We can’t magically repair this bruised and battered land
But we can, in our way, fight back from the ground
We’ll pile in the van and journey around
Sing our songs, sing ‘em loud, so the kids can hear
Show them that monsters are nothing to fear
But the guy in the suit, fuelled by nothing but greed
He is the one who must be defeated.
We are not super heroes
We are not saving lives
But we try, as we might, to make them bloody well shine
